Questions

If it is not here, the email goes to one of the four of us and usually comes back the same week.

  • What does it cost to book you?

A club show is $1,200, a festival slot $3,200, a private booking $2,800 — four of us plus an engineer, before travel. A show that cannot pay it can still ask.

  • How long do you play?

Seventy-five minutes for our own show, forty-five at a festival, two shorter sets at a private booking. We have never once run over.

  • What do you need on stage?

Five metres by four at least, four sockets, four vocal mics, DIs for bass and keys, and a monitor each. If the stage is smaller we leave the keys at home rather than pretend.

  • Can we choose the set list?

You can ask for three songs and we will play them. The rest is ours, because a set has a shape and a request list does not.

  • Do you play covers?

Two, and only at private bookings. We will tell you which when you ask.

  • Who answers this address?

One of the four of us, usually Devon. There is no manager and no agency, which is why the reply sometimes takes two days and never takes two weeks.

  • Are the records on streaming?

Yes, and they pay for roughly one string change a month between them. Buying one at a show is worth about four hundred times a stream to us.
