Devon reads these, usually within two days and never within two weeks — there is no agency in between, which is the trade-off. He will come back with whether the date is free, what the fee is for that kind of night, and the two questions we always ask about the stage and the power.

If the fee is more than the night can carry, say so in your reply. We have played for less and told the promoter why; we have also said no, and said that plainly too.
